Even the small intestine uses glutamine, (about 20g/day), when it absorbs nutrition. The daily diet contains about 10g of glutamine which leads to a deficiency of 10g a day of the body’s own production. To meet the muscles need of 10g a day, extra glutamine needs to be added for optimal muscle growth.

L-Glutamine increases muscle volume and reduces the risk for overtraining. Out of the free amino acids that are in the muscles approximately 50% are glutamine. When you exercise, a large amount of Glutamine is used to re-create and increase muscle mass and therefore has to exist in large amount in the muscles. During a hard workout the body has difficulties in producing enough glutamine to fill the need.
By adding glutamine the muscle mass that has been broken down recovers more quickly. Even the immune system is stimulated by glutamine. A lack of glutamine can lead to an increased risk of catching a cold and lessens the recovery rate after a hard workout.
Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement take one serving 15 minutes before exercise and one serving before bedtime
